Role Description:
This is a contract role focused on new business acquisition. You will own the full sales cycle — from prospecting to closing deals. You'll work in a GTM pod with a Documentation Success Manager (DSM) who handles demos. Target mid-market and enterprise software companies needing modern documentation infrastructure. This is a hunting role to open doors, build pipeline, and close new revenue.
Responsibilities:
- Source and qualify new opportunities via outbound prospecting (cold email, LinkedIn, events, partnerships)
- Run discovery calls with technical buyers (engineering leaders, technical writers, product managers)
- Partner with DSM within GTM pod; AE owns deal; DSM owns demo/technical narrative
- Manage full-cycle pipeline from first touch to signed contract
- Navigate multi-stakeholder deals involving engineering, product, procurement
- Hit/exceed quarterly new business targets
- Collaborate with marketing on campaign follow-up and inbound lead conversion
- Maintain CRM hygiene in HubSpot
- Provide product and market insights to founding team
Qualifications:
- 2+ years closing B2B SaaS deals selling to technical buyers or engineering/product organizations preferred.
- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding new business quota.
- Strong prospecting/outbound skills; ability to build pipeline from scratch.
- Excellent communication/negotiation skills; comfortable presenting to senior technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with developer tools/documentation/knowledge management is a strong plus.
- Self-starter thriving in fast-moving early-stage environment with minimal hand-holding.
- Proficiency in English (written/spoken).
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, STEM or related field is a plus.
