Job Description

THE ROLE:

  • Manage client relationships and own development and execution of influencer program strategy
  • Design influencer recruitment strategies, content strategies, communication strategies, incentive strategies, and optimization strategies focused on monetization of content across social media
  • Customize strategies to each client’s unique goals and objectives
  • Analyze program data to spot performance trends and refine strategic approach
  • Negotiate media packages with influencers and contract longer-term agreements
  • Knowledge of partner marketing landscape including affiliate marketing
  • Lead a team to execute strategy
  • Self-starter able to balance competing priorities

TOP 5 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

PROGRAM STRATEGY & EXECUTION

  • Develop custom strategies and tactical plans for influencer programs aligned with client goals
  • Monitor program performance, budget spend, pacing in real time
  • Present strategic recommendations to course-correct performance/spend
  • Stay updated on influencer industry trends to optimize success

CLIENT SERVICE & COMMUNICATION

  • Provide superior client service as point of contact
  • Escalate issues or risks appropriately
  • Build trust through delivering outputs and communications in AP style
  • Maintain high client satisfaction and retention (average 8.5 client rating)

REPORTING & ANALYSIS

  • Use data strategically with accurate analysis shared with clients
  • Identify trends and provide insights/recommendations to meet/exceed goals
  • Analyze upper-funnel social analytics (impressions, engagement rate, CPM)
  • Analyze mid-to-lower funnel metrics (CTR, CVR, Revenue, ROI)
  • Educate clients on analytics if needed

INFLUENCER PARTNERSHIP OPTIMIZATION

  • Design recruitment, communication, content, incentive and optimization strategies for long-term partnerships driving lower-funnel value (site traffic, revenue)
  • Negotiate longer-term media packages and manage fixed fee investments when necessary
  • Address client questions on influencer alignment and ROI expectations
  • Train/coaching influencers on affiliate landscape best practices

PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT

  • Manage multiple influencer marketing programs with strong organization/prioritization skills
  • Understand each client’s scope of work and deliver accordingly while pushing back strategically if needed
  • Identify new opportunities and resolve goal misalignments proactively

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:

  • By 2 months: Understand client goals/objectives; form strong client relationships; lead calls; own deliverables; familiar with AP tools/affiliate landscape; conduct 70% actions independently.
  • By 4 months: Manage portfolio with little guidance; conduct 90% actions independently; proactive problem-solving; analyze data regularly; meet KPIs profitably; maintain average 8.5 client rating.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • 4+ years experience at influencer marketing agency or brand managing client/creator relationships
  • Strong understanding of full funnel influencer marketing including flat fee and affiliate payment models
  • Solid understanding of omni-channel/direct-to-consumer marketing with successful campaign track record
  • Advanced Excel skills (formatting, formulas, reports)
  • Excellent communication/presentation/pitching skills for clients
  • Working knowledge of digital marketing attribution
  • Preferred but not required: experience with CreatorIQ, Grin, Izea tools or Affiliate Networks/SaaS platforms like Impact, ShareASale, Commission Junction

-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • Ability to travel up to 15%
