AI Deployment Lead

Role Description
The AI Deployment Lead is a critical role responsible for taking an AI agent from a signed contract to a live, performing system and continuously improving it. The role involves deep customer understanding, technical knowledge, and operational rigor. The lead works directly with North American customers such as debt collection agencies, lenders, and loan servicers to understand their business operations and translate these into precise requirements for AI agent deployment. This role is hands-on in designing agent behavior, validating performance, and ensuring production readiness.
Responsibilities
Customer Discovery and Scoping
- Understand each customer's business and call workflows.
- Map the customer's tech stack including telephony dialer, payment processors, portals, CRMs, and APIs.
- Design call flow diagrams and interaction maps translating workflows into agent behaviors.
- Translate complex requirements into clear scopes for engineering.
Deployment and Phased Delivery
- Manage end-to-end delivery across multiple deployment phases.
- Handle 4 to 6 concurrent deployments with strong governance and clear milestones.
- Lead all customer-facing calls from kickoff through go-live.
Agent Validation and Performance
- Design scenarios covering happy paths, edge cases, adversarial situations.
- Conduct test calls with Agent Engineers to evaluate performance.
- Manage feedback loop: testing, identifying gaps, briefing engineers, retesting.
Post-Go-Live Ownership
- Track agent KPIs post-launch; manage bugs and drive continuous improvement.
- Lead phased expansion with new capabilities requiring new deployments.
- Serve as primary escalation point until stable handoff.
Stakeholder Management
- Navigate multi-stakeholder environments including CXOs, Operations, Compliance, IT, Tech teams.
- Be responsive and proactive in customer commitments.
- Collaborate internally across functions to unblock delivery.
Qualifications / Who You Are
- 2+ years experience in B2B SaaS, consulting, digital transformation or technical deployments/implementations.
- Experience with voice AI agents, conversational AI or automation systems is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with US consumer finance or debt collections industry is a plus but not required.
- Understanding of APIs; ability to read integration specs; credible technical conversation skills without being an engineer.
- Proactive problem anticipation skills.
- Strong communication skills; comfortable presenting to CXOs and managing escalations with engineers.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity; high ownership with low hand-holding.
- Experience working with or for North American customers preferred.
- Reports to Head of Customer Success and Deployments; part of a growing deployment team.
Skills / Other Relevant Information
- Deep understanding of enterprise telephony systems, payment infrastructure, compliance requirements affecting AI deployment.
- Ability to design safe, compliant, measurable AI systems that are commercially meaningful.
- Operate at the intersection of product management, AI technology, and mission-critical customer communication.
