Role Summary
- Mechanically strong systems integrator responsible for mechanical integration of camera + lens + lighting into automation machines.
- Review CAD designs, guide machine builders, ensure robust, serviceable, scalable deployments.
- On-site applications engineer solving real production problems ensuring system delivers value daily.

Responsibilities
Mechanical Integration
- Own mechanical integration of camera + lens + lighting into customer automation machines including mounting design, stability, alignment, adjustability, service access, environmental protection, cable routing/strain relief.
- Review and sign off on machine builder CAD (2D/3D) designs meeting Overview.ai standards.
- Provide practical feedback to improve designs before manufacturing (reduce vibration sensitivity, protect optics, ensure repeatable alignment).
- Specify integration requirements and best practices (mounting interfaces, bracket designs, tolerances).
- Anticipate and design out long-term failure modes (loosening fasteners, wear points).
- Ensure commissioning readiness for stable triggering and rapid service.
Field Applications Engineering (Production Outcomes)
- Support new line deployments and maintain/optimize installed systems.
- Diagnose issues that appear AI-related but are mechanical/system integration problems (image quality drift, vibration blur).
- Train customer teams and machine builders on integration best practices and troubleshooting.
- Document field learnings into standards, checklists, reference designs.
Who You Are
Required
- Strong mechanical/systems integration background in automation equipment or industrial machines.
- Ability to read/review machine design CAD (SolidWorks/Creo/AutoCAD or similar) and provide actionable feedback.
- Experience integrating components with attention to tolerances, alignment, vibration, serviceability.
- Comfortable in factory environments: commissioning and troubleshooting hands-on.
- Mandarin fluency (native or near-native).
- Working English for technical collaboration with global teams.
- High ownership mindset driving problems to closure.
Strong Preferences
- Experience with high-volume manufacturing lines (electronics, automotive, connectors).
- Experience working with machine builders/integrators managing design iteration loops.
- Comfortable partnering with controls engineers on timing/triggering constraints.
