About the role

• Ability to deconstruct tricky problems and work towards simple solutions, independently or collaboratively.
• Comfortable asking for help when stuck.
• Enjoy being a generalist, naturally curious, and willing to learn new skills while building the product.
• Uphold best practices in engineering, security, and design.

Skills & Experience:

• 2+ years of full-time software engineering experience (experience criteria can be waived for exceptional candidates; educational qualification is no bar).
• Experience owning and building features from start to finish.

Must haves:

• Built and maintained REST APIs and NoSQL databases in different environments.
• Worked with NextJS for UIs, routing, and state management.
• Experience with container orchestration and serverless architectures in AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Worked with FastAPI apps and OpenTelemetry for observability.
• Familiar with Git Actions, Docker, and OAuth2 for authentication and authorization.

Nice to haves:

• Built and maintained asyncio and multithreaded apps in Python.
• Debugging performance bottlenecks using profilers.
• Worked with telecommunication protocols such as SIP and WebRTC.
• Built AI agents to automate common dev workflows.
