A non-profit organization providing STEAM programs for an underserved community is seeking a part-time Business Development and Operations Manager to identify and support revenue-generating partnerships andmanage program operations. Company: Non-profit providing educational opportunities in conjunction with local schools and community-based entities. Special emphasis made to assist young girls on their path to successful careers in science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math. Hours/Schedule: 10-15 hours/week, hours may increase pending funding Job Type: Contract to Hire Location Requirements: Hybrid, 75% remote (will need to visit after school program at each of 4 Prince William County schools once/month) Rate: $40-45/hour Job Description: Lead business development activities to increase/broaden sources of revenue while running day-to-day program operations for school-based STEAM programs; coordinate volunteers and instructors; maintain rosters and communications; and provide basic data for donor and grant reporting. This is an individual contributor role with no staff management responsibilities. Responsibilities: Business Development and Partnerships

  • Identify, cultivate, and support revenue-generating partnerships with schools, community organizations, and youth-serving organizations.
  • Support partnership activities, coordination requirements, and ongoing relationship management.

Program Management Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations at program sites, including student registrations, field trip coordination, and maintaining SharePoint sites and calendars.
  • Coordinate volunteers and instructors by confirming coverage, sharing schedules and lesson logistics, and supporting onboarding requirements.
  • Lead communication efforts with stakeholders, including families, school partners, donors, and other key stakeholders. Prepare program stories for donor communications.
  • Plan and execute Family STEAM Night and other community events, including managing logistics, coordinating volunteers, and overseeing the event run of show.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in business development, partnership development, or revenue generating initiatives.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience coordinating youth programs, school-based initiatives, or community focused events.
  • Strong organizational and scheduling skills with clear written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency using Google Workspace and Microsoft Office, including basic spreadsheet tracking and document management.
