Machine Learning Engineer
The Mission: You are the engineer who ships the model, not just the one who trains it. At Blissway, we process 11 million images every single day, running detection, segmentation, classification, embeddings, and re-identification across everything in the camera’s frame. You will own the full arc: raw sensor data to production inference, dataset curation to deployment monitoring, cloud to edge. This role is for the engineer who sees a model sitting in a notebook and feels the itch to put it to the test, or in this case, on the road. The Work
- Own the Whole Pipeline: You decide which problems are worth solving, then take them from raw sensor data all the way to production: collection,...dataset curation,...training,...deployment,...monitoring,...and iteration. We wire it all together and run our own servers,...so pipeline yours end to end.
- Real Hardware in Real World: Own devices field; ideas built tested real roads.
- Vision at Real Scale: Process 11 million images daily; detection,...segmentation,...classification,...embeddings,...re-identification across vehicles,...license plates,...wheels,...lane markings; multiple sensors pull data wide open problem space; right model improves accuracy cuts cost.
- Classical CV to Custom SOTA: Toolbox spans traditional CV algorithms custom-trained state-of-the-art models (detection,...segmentation,...embeddings,...classifiers); pick right tool; train own if off-the-shelf insufficient.
- Build Best Models Exist: Read papers; attend conferences; hold work current frontier; ML essential past year; team bet made real.
- Edge Cloud: Compute mostly cloud unlimited power; pushing inference roadside hardware different problem: models fast small power-efficient without accuracy loss; work both sides constraint.
Requirements
- Experience: 2-6 years software engineering focus ML/computer vision; true end-to-end experience: models raw data production owned post-shipping.
- Both Sides: Strong software engineering fundamentals plus hands-on ML; write production-quality code train debug models overlap comfortable both.
- Full Lifecycle: Owned models beyond notebook: trained deployed monitored iterated production.
- Real CV depth: Experience modern computer vision judgment classical technique beats heavy model; not reaching transformer filter suffice.
