- Quindar builds modern, cloud-native satellite mission operations software to replace legacy ground systems with an integrated, automation-driven approach.
- The ISSO is responsible for enforcing and maintaining information security policies to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems.
- The role upholds NIST SP 800-171 requirements to protect Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and maintain Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) 2.0 accreditation.
- The ISSO coordinates with ISSM, FSO, System Administrators, Leadership, and users to foster a strong security culture and ensure compliance with Federal Regulations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations Support: Review user requests for security impacts; onboard users with training.
- Risk Management: Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments; implement mitigation strategies.
3. Continuous Monitoring & Audit: Prepare for self and external assessments; monitor security controls. 4. Incident Response: Develop Incident Response Plan; lead incident investigations and remediation. 5. System Security Plans: Maintain and update SSPs with required artifacts ensuring compliance. 6. Collaboration: Work closely with other departments; serve as security point of contact.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on security trends; improve security measures.
Qualifications
- US Citizenship required.
- Eligibility for US Government Security Clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field.
- 2+ years experience in information security with Federal Regulations.
- Proven experience managing an Information Security Program.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of NIST SP 800-171 and DevSecOps frameworks.
- Proficiency in SIEM, IDS/IPS, STIG Hardening, vulnerability management tools.
- Exposure to Kubernetes Containerization, AWS GovCloud, CI/CD pipelines, Secure Network Architecture.

- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
