Consulting Architect - Observability and Security

What is The Role:

As a Consulting Architect, you will play a pivotal role in helping customers realize the value of Elastic’s Solutions. While your primary focus will be on observability, you are a versatile expert capable of designing and scaling security architectures to strengthen detection, response, and resilience. Acting as a trusted technical advisor, you will work with enterprises to improve application performance, infrastructure visibility, and end-user experience, while also improving their overall security posture. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Professional Services, Engineering, Product, and Sales to accelerate adoption of the Elastic platform, ensuring customers maximize the value of their data while achieving critical business outcomes.

What You Will Be Doing:

Solution design & delivery based on Elastic Stack.
Lead customer projects from discovery to optimization.
Architect observability solutions (distributed tracing, metrics pipelines, log aggregation, SLOs/SLIs).
Architect security solutions (SIEM, endpoint security).
Optimize data ingestion pipelines using Elastic Agents, Beats, Logstash.
Design dashboards, visualizations & detection rules in Kibana.
Provide technical leadership & knowledge transfer.
Share best practices & contribute to internal enablement.

What You Bring:

Professional Expertise:

5+ years as a consultant/architect/engineer with deep expertise in observability or monitoring with strong capability in security domains.

Deployment Experience:

Proven track record deploying Elastic Observability (APM/logs/metrics) & Elastic Security (SIEM/endpoint) or similar enterprise-scale solutions.

Data Pipeline Mastery:

Strong experience with time-series data ingestion/parsing/normalization (ECS), including Kafka or Redis.

Infrastructure Knowledge:

Hands-on expertise with distributed systems/Linux/Kubernetes/public cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure/GCP.

Security Literacy:

Familiarity with incident response workflows & common frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK/NIST/ISO 27001.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (Python/Java/PowerShell).

Communication:

Strong presentation skills with ability to engage stakeholders & explain complex technical concepts.

Education:

Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD in Computer Science/Engineering/Cybersecurity or related field or equivalent experience.

Flexibility:

Comfortable working in highly distributed remote teams & willingness to travel to customer sites as required.

Bonus Points:

Elastic Certified Engineer or deep Elasticsearch/Lucene expertise.
Consulting experience at Big 4 or similar firms.
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/Ansible) & container orchestration (ECK).
Knowledge of machine learning or AI for observability/security use cases.
Public speaking or open source contributions.
Multilingual skills (French/German/Spanish).
