What you will be doing:

Technical Sales Engagement

  • Engage with targeted customers as assigned by sales leadership.
  • Understand customer business; establish technical/business credibility.
  • Participate with Solution Architect/SMEs to define holistic solutions considering costs, contracts, business conditions, technical environment.
  • Lead technical customer needs identification/scoping calls with relevant SMEs.
  • Collaborate on customer-specific services/technology solutions; coordinate teams including partner technology.
  • Deliver/sell technical solution strategy to senior client executives aligning with company differentiators.
  • Influence QBR agendas to align/accelerate account development strategies.

Customer Relationship Development

  • Cultivate trusted-advisor relationships with senior IT executives understanding business challenges and technology-enabled solutions.
  • Provide leadership on best practices for cloud-based data/application solutions including migration and modernization.
  • Advise customers on technology standards/methodologies/processes related to infrastructure, data, applications estate.
  • Own technical/services/architecture agenda for named customers; drive account innovation in QBRs.

Partner Alignment & Technical Relationship Management

  • Build/maintain relationships with partner pre-sales, solutions, customer engineers.
  • Maintain/add partner technical certifications; support corporate specializations/program inclusions.
  • Conduct joint technical strategy sessions with partner engineers and engagement managers.

Offering and Portfolio Expansion within Account Base

  • Provide feedback from customer/prospect/partner interactions on offerings/delivery/competitive knowledge.
  • Recommend new offerings or enhancements to corporate competency.
  • Participate in introducing new offerings; build technical roadmap for portfolio expansion within customers.

Customer Success and Technical Escalation

  • Build strong relationship with architects, engineers, project managers; work deeply on client challenges.
  • Act as point of technical consultation for clients and partners.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction; maintain referenceable customers.

What we need from you:

  • Proven experience as Data Architect or Cloud Solutions Architect.
  • Excellent knowledge of Data management & Data lifecycle business.
  • Strong understanding/experience with Cloud architectures: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure or AWS focusing on data services.
  • In-depth knowledge of database/data warehouse technologies: Microsoft, Amazon, Google (Big Data & RDBMS), Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Teradata, Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake etc.
  • Good understanding of conventional databases: Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres etc.
  • Experience moving data to cloud; designing cloud-based data warehouses/architectures.
  • Experience writing/spec’ing data pipelines; knowledge of cloud ingestion/transformation tools.
  • Prior experience in a technical sales environment.
  • Consulting & management experience is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications preferred: Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect/Data Engineer; AWS Certified Solutions Architect/Big Data; Microsoft Azure Architect.
