About the Data Team

Sits within the Office of the COO.
Partners with every part of Consensys.
Provides insights, experimentation frameworks, and metrics for MetaMask teams.
Makes data trustworthy, actionable, and central to product and business decision-making.

About the Role

We're hiring a Data Analyst to partner closely with MetaMask product managers to shape the future of this leading web3 wallet.

What you’ll do:

Generate actionable insights influencing strategic product decisions using exploratory data analysis on complex datasets including:
Product event logs
On-chain data
Social data
Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, engineers to understand and anticipate data needs.
Develop trusted sources of truth by modeling data in dbt to measure performance of new features and initiatives.
Tell compelling data-driven stories with well-designed visualizations.
Contribute to building out data platform and enhance analytics capabilities with AI tools.
Cultivate a data-driven culture across company; set data standards; optimize processes; drive adoption of best practices.
Manage analytics lifecycle from inception through delivery and ongoing support.

Who we’re looking for:

At least 5 years full-time experience as data analyst, product analyst or data scientist.
Highly proficient in:
SQL
Python
Data modeling tools such as dbt
Proficient in at least one data visualization tool (Looker, Superset/Preset, Tableau, Mixpanel).
Demonstrable interest in Web3 and blockchain technology.
Experience working with on-chain data including:
EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine)
SVM (Solana Virtual Machine)
UTXO (Unspent Transaction Output)
Familiarity with event logging tools such as GTM (Google Tag Manager) and Segment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including experience communicating to senior leadership.
Ability to think strategically, navigate ambiguity, formulate analytical hypotheses and execute urgently.
Background in descriptive and inferential statistics is desirable.

Employment Conditions

Applicants must consent to background checks including employment, education and criminal record checks. US Salary Range: $156,000—$187,000 USD (excluding bonus/equity/benefits), determined during interview process based on experience/skills.
