About the Role:

• Summer Intern position on Data Platform & Engineering team.
• Role flexes across Data Platform Engineering and Data Engineering based on candidate strengths/interests.
• Work on foundational systems powering agents, internal tools, analytics environments, operational workflows.
• Contribute to high-impact infrastructure and data products used organization-wide.

Responsibilities:

• Build/improve data pipelines using SQL and Python.
• Develop and maintain reliability of data platform infrastructure.
• Design/model datasets for analytics, internal tools, AI workflows.
• Improve data quality, observability, governance.
• Support infrastructure/contextual data layers enabling company-wide agents/interfaces.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, finance, operations to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.

Project Focus Areas (depending on candidate interest):

• Data Engineering: modeling, transformation, orchestration, analytics enablement.
• Data Platform Engineering: infrastructure, tooling, performance optimization, developer experience for data systems.

Requirements:

• Pursuing BS or MS in Computer Science, Data Science or related technical field.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Solid understanding of data modeling principles and relational databases.
• Familiarity with data pipelines, ETL/ELT concepts or workflow orchestration.
• Comfortable in collaborative fast-moving engineering environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Based in SF/Bay Area; open to commuting 2–3 days/week to SFHQ.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with modern data stack tools (dbt, Airflow, Snowflake, BigQuery).
• Exposure to cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP).
• Experience with large datasets or analytics systems.
• Interest in AI/ML systems or agent-based workflows.
