About the Transactions Team

MetaMask’s Transactions team helps millions of people discover , try ,and safely use web3 . We create experiences that make the wallet easier to access , understand ,and return to through better onboarding , smarter activation flows ,and core wallet features . Our mission is to make Web3 exploration simple , safe ,and rewarding while maintainingthe trust that defines MetaMask . We design across Extensionand Mobile platforms partnering closely with product , engineering , marketing ,and user research . We move fast , experiment often ,and stay grounded in craft . What you’ll do

As a Design Director at MetaMask:

Oversee the entire product area withinthe Transactions team .
Create scalable systems for feedback , coaching,and recognition .
Enable senior individual contributors(ICs)to lead autonomously with influence .
Drive programs enhancing people developmentand craft excellence acrossa large evolving team .
Explore problems from multiple angles .
Bring clarityto ambiguous challenges .
Deliver designs balancing growth goals with usabilityand trust .
Optimize transaction experience .
Craft new activation surfaces .
Identify patterns across journeys impacting millions offirst-time MetaMask users .
Elevate design quality by giving thoughtful feedback .
Partner closely with engineers .
Mentor other designers .
Shape design cultureand process on a high-impact fast-moving team.

Deep experience(10+ years)as a design leader shipping digital products at scale with impact across multiple teams/business areas.
Experience designing & launching scalable programs accelerating skill growth & elevating design craft; evolving them as team/product develop.
Abilityto co-create multi-quarter team roadmaps & lead strategic staffing decisions with cross-functional partners.
Ensure clarityof goals & seamless collaboration among team members & stakeholders; resolve ambiguity & facilitate decision-making.
Abilityto lead projects from zero-to-one as well as iterateon mature surfaces.
Strengthin systems thinking interaction design & content-aware UX.
Collaborative spirit & experience partnering across engineering product marketing research content teams.
Experience mentoring or leveling up other designers on your team.
Familiaritywith Figma design systems & remote design workflows.

Salary Range(US-based candidates only)

$172000 — $257000 USD(excluding bonus equity or other benefits) determined throughout interview process depending on experience/skills.
