MOVEitis on-prem software which provides secure collaboration and automated file transfers of sensitive data and advanced workflow automation capabilities without the need for scripting. We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to lead the automation of deployment and upgrade processes for our Windows-based software product in Azure. This role is central to our strategy of delivering reliable, scalable, and maintainable software services to customers, with minimal manual intervention and downtime. You will be responsible for designing and implementing automation solutions across infrastructure provisioning, software deployment, database setup, and monitoring. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Windows environments, cloud platforms and DevOps best practices. In this role you will:

  • Analyze and document existing manual installation and upgrade processes
  • Automate deployment and upgrade processes for Windows-based software across cloud environments
  • Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions for Azure
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deployment and rollback
  • Automate MSSQL setup and configuration, including support for high availability (HA)
  • Integrate monitoring and alerting tools to ensure visibility into deployments and system health
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate automation into the software lifecycle
  • Document automation processes for maintainability and compliance
  • Work effectively within multi-site organization

Your background:

  • Experience in DevOps or infrastructure automation roles.
  • Experience with Windows Server environments and PowerShell scripting.
  • Experience with Azure, including VM provisioning and management.
  • Good understanding of Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
  • Knowledge of MSSQL automation, including scripting for setup and HA.
  • Understanding of secure DevOps practices and secrets management.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
  • Excellent team collaboration skills.
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly.
  • Good written and verbal English skills.

Additionally, it would be nice if you have:

  • Experience with legacy software modernization projects.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of SRE principles and reliability engineering.
