About the Role:
The Director of Strategic Finance leads financial strategy and execution across Product, Engineering, and Infrastructure. This role owns product and infrastructure economics end-to-end, partners closely with executive leadership, and builds scalable financial operating models to support growth, efficiency, and innovation. This person defaults to using AI and automation. This role reports into Vercel's Sr. Director of Strategic Finance. This role is based in SF or NYC where we have a 3 day/week in-office requirement.
What You Will Do:
- Product Strategy & Reporting: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement financial strategies that support the company's growth objectives across product pillars. Own product-oriented financial planning, including long-range planning, budgeting, forecasting, and investment analyses.
- Cloud & AI Infrastructure Economics: Lead cost optimization, governance, and unit economics for AI, Cloud, and infrastructure workloads. Own gross margin improvements by understanding our products, our relationships with our cloud providers, pricing strategies, and how we operate.
- Enterprise Contract Negotiations: Support and lead financial strategy for large-scale cloud and infrastructure agreements, ensuring the terms support product growth and ROI initiatives.
- Pricing & Packaging: Support pricing & packaging strategy, monetization models, and unit economics in partnership with Product and GTM teams.
