The Director of Product Management owns the end-to-end product strategy, execution, and outcomes for the Sitefinity Content Management System (CMS) product line, with broader exposure to Digital Platforms, Digital Journeys, and Customer Experience ecosystems. This role operates at the intersection of strategy, execution, and influence - balancing people leadership with hands-on product ownership. The Director acts as both a product leader of leaders and a senior individual contributor, capable of stepping deep into discovery, roadmap shaping, and complex decision-making when needed. The role requires exceptional cross-functional collaboration, strong organizational influence, and the ability to align diverse stakeholders across Engineering, Design, Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, and Executive Leadership around a shared product vision and measurable business outcomes.

In this role, you will:

Product Strategy & Vision

  • Own and articulate a clear, compelling product vision and outcome‑driven product strategy, ensuring that product investments are continuously validated against measurable customer and business impact and align with company-level objectives and digital platform direction.
  • Drive an AI-First product culture by actively probing emerging technologies, experimenting with new product ideas, and identifying white-space opportunities.
  • Stay ahead of market and competitive shifts by continuously scanning the landscape, validating trends through rapid iteration, and fostering a mindset of exploration, agility, and responsible AI integration.
  • Translate customer needs, market trends, and business goals into prioritized roadmaps that balance innovation, scalability, and revenue growth.
  • Define and evolve the product’s role within the broader digital journey and experience ecosystem, ensuring seamless integration with adjacent platforms and services.
  • Establish and monitor success metrics (business, customer, and product health KPIs) and use data to guide strategic decisions.

Product Execution & Delivery

  • Oversee end-to-end product lifecycle management - from discovery and validation through delivery, launch, adoption and iteration.
  • Partner closely with Engineering and Design leadership to ensure high-quality, scalable, and user-centric solutions.
  • Drive disciplined prioritization and trade-off decisions, balancing short-term delivery with long-term platform sustainability.
  • Act as a hands-on product leader when required leading discovery efforts, shaping PRDs (Product Requirements Documents), validating solutions, and unblocking complex product challenges.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence

  • Serve as a trusted thought partner to leaders across Engineering, UX (User Experience), Sales, Marketing, Customer Success,and Support.
  • Align diverse stakeholders around shared goals,even in the presence of competing priorities.
  • Represent Product Management in senior forums contributing to portfolio-level discussions,invesment decisions,and strategic planning.
  • Act as a connector across teamsand functions ensuring clarity transparency,and shared accountability.

People Leadership & Talent Development

  • Lead coach,and develop a highly engaged,motivated,and empowered product team where people feel ownership,purpose,and pride in their work -and are supported in their career growth.
  • Create an environment of high accountability psychological safety,and continuous learning.
  • Set clear expectations provide actionable feedback,and model strong product leadership behaviors.
  • Balance team leadership with individual contribution - stepping in where depth experience or leadership presence is required.

Partner Stakeholder & Customer Engagement

  • Represent the Sitefinity product portfolio with industry analysts (e.g., Gartner Forrester IDC), shaping external product narratives supporting briefings inquiries,and influencing market perception through credible consistent product positioning.
  • Maintain close engagement with customers partners,and internal stakeholders to deeply understand needs pain points,and opportunities.
  • Act as a product ambassador for Sitefinity - representing the product visionand strategy in customer meetings industry events conferences webinars,and partner forums serving as a credible inspiring voice of the product externally.
  • Partner with Salesand Customer teams on strategic deals customer escalations,and roadmap alignment.
  • Communicate product strategyand progress with clarityand credibility at all organizational levels including executive leadership.

Your background:

  • Extensive experience leading Product Management function with ownership of complex revenue-generating products in a B2B or platform environment.
  • Deep expertise in product management disciplineand frameworks including problem framingand opportunity assessment customer discoveryand validation solution experimentation pricingand packaging value proposition designandevidence‑based decision making across the product lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively as both as a manager of Product Management teams but also a hands-on ability to deliver as a senior individual contributor balancing strategic ownership with hands-on product execution.
  • Demonstrated success definingandevolvingproduct vision strategyand multi-year roadmaps alignedwith businessand platform objectives.
  • Domain expertise in Content Management Systems (CMS) with demonstrated experience across Digital Platforms Digital Journeysand end-to-end customer experience ecosystems is a plus.
  • Deep experience partneringwith Engineeringand Designto deliver scalable high-quality user-centric solutions.
  • Exceptional cross-functional collaborationandinfluencing skillswitha strong track recordof driving alignment across Product Engineering UX Sales Marketingand Customer Experience.
  • Abilityto influence outcomes without direct authority navigating competing prioritiesand organizational complexity.
  • Comfortable operatingin ambiguous fast-moving environments making sound decisionswith incomplete or evolving information.
  • Strong executive communicationand storytelling skills ableto synthesize complex topics into clear actionable narratives for senior leadership.
  • Proven people management experience including hiring coaching performance managementand career developmentof Product Managers at different levels.
  • Abilityto buildandsustain high-performing accountable teams while fostering psychological safetyand continuous learning.
  • Strong strategicandsystems thinkingwiththe abilityto understand platform dependencies scalabilityand long-term architectural implications.
  • Demonstrated execution excellence translating strategy into measurable outcomes through disciplined prioritizationand delivery.
