About the Role
This position involves managing a massive ecosystem of over 400 sites built on a custom Drupal distribution. You will balance your time equally between core Drupal development and WebOps optimization, specifically focusing on CI/CD and deployment overhauls. Your primary mission is to streamline team standards and lead the release process across a high scale, centralized platform while preparing for the transition from Drupal 10 to Drupal 11.
Most Important
- Expertise in Drupal 10 and 11 with a focus on custom implementations and high scale site management.
- Deep Proficiency with Pantheon and Terminus to manage hosting, debug issues, and deliver changes through command line tools.
- Significant WebOps and CI/CD Experience with a 50/50 split between development and deployment optimization.
- Release Management Skills including the ability to immediately assist with high stakes release processes across hundreds of sites.
- API Architecture Knowledge using Drupal as an OpenAPI provider integrated with external services.
- Centralized Deployment Mastery to handle the complexity of a multi site environment with a GitHub upstream workflow.
Nice to Have
- Hybrid Frontend Familiarity including Webpack, Vanilla JS, and a working knowledge of Vue.js.
- Performance Optimization Skills specifically focused on heavy JS bundles and Core Web Vitals.
- Architectural Decoupling Experience to help move the platform toward a more modern, decoupled state.
- Theme Development within a Drupal context.
