Electrical Engineer (RF & Phased Array)
San Francisco, CA Engineering / On-site Our Goals At Farcast, we aim to improve global prosperity. We achieve this goal by building innovative products that enable access to information. Satellite internet is one of the most important ways to achieve this goal and to provide global connectivity coverage. However, the capacity of satellite internet services is limited by the quality and affordability of the devices consumers use to connect to satellites. These devices are called “user terminals”. Our mission is to bring unprecedented innovation to the user terminal industry. We believe our innovation will be key in making satellite internet accessible to everyone. Please join us if your goals align with ours! We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to design high-density electronics for Satellite User Terminal applications. This role is deeply hands-on and spans schematic capture, PCB layout, bring-up, and production support. The engineer in this role will design mixed-signal, power, and digital circuitry in close coordination with RF, systems, mechanical, and manufacturing teams, contributing to system-level architecture decisions including power distribution, thermal strategy, and component selection. Successful candidates have delivered complex HDI PCBAs into production and are comfortable balancing performance, manufacturability, compliance, and cost.
Responsibilities
- Design schematic and layout of mixed-signal, RF, power, and digital circuitry.
- Contribute to system architecture decisions, including power networks, thermal management, and component selection.
- Successful delivery of PCB/PCBA builds using HDI technology.

We build advanced SATCOM user terminals. We build advanced Flat Panel Antennas (FPAs) that use Phased Array technology to compensate for the movement of the satellite and/or the users with electronic beamscanning. Our proprietary technology reduces size, weight, power, and cost (SWaP-C) for satellite user terminals requiring Active Electronically Scanned Antennas (AESAs).
