We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required! In this role you will conduct mission-level analysis for propellant, communication, power, thermal, and other consumables across our Lunar vehicles and architecture.  This requires establishing margining policies for each consumable, defining the performance across both Blue and NASA vehicles to achieve favorable margins and evaluating designs against those performance limits.  You will generate and run mission analysis models, provide guidance on optimizing vehicle design, mission Concept of Operations and control logic, quantitatively evaluate alternative trade studies and provide recommendations and work with a cross functional team to ensure mission success.  You will support regular mission analysis cycles and reporting for Blue’s Design Analysis Cycles (DACs) and NASA’s Human Landing System (HLS) Analysis Cycles (HACs). Responsibilities: Own the delivery and quality of mission analysis products and reports Build mission analysis models in a variety of tools Predict mission performance across all mission phases Perform model checks to ensure the accuracy and quality of results Perform trade studies and optimizations of mission design solutions and collaborate with external teams on the trade offs Document mission analysis results and present at internal review boards program gated reviews NASA customer reviews Maintain enforce model version control process ensure proper review consistent model use generating thermal predictions Maintain simplified mission model perform analysis trade studies requiring quick turnaround times Ensure consistency between detailed simplified models Perform model validation correlating test data Leveraging Artificial Intelligence AI tools improve mission analysis processes Minimum Qualifications: Minimum BS degree Mechanical Aerospace Engineering related field Minimum five years relevant experience required Strong understanding mission modeling analysis relevant experience preferably aerospace industry Work closely other cross functional team needed e g systems engineers develop verify requirements Design team support sizing trade studies procurement choose best supplier Preferred Qualifications: Successful candidates typically relevant proven experience design analysis aerospace systems Advanced graduate degrees Masters PhD Proficiency one programming languages e g MATLAB Python C C++ FORTRAN Experience software tools Jama Cameo MATLAB Simulink Confluence JIRA Git Creo Windchill Welcome We’re committed building road space children build future We are mission driven company focused ideas innovation encourage fresh perspectives bold voices At Blue team building future unique selves Thank you interest working Blue Origin!
