Engineering Manager (Expansion - Integrations)

United States Engineering / Full-time- Remote / Remote We’re hiring an Engineering Manager to lead the Integrations team within the Expansion product group! The mission of this team is to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of our creator personas by delivering reliable integrations that embed Articulate 360 into our customers’ daily workflows. Because AI is central to how Articulate 360 delivers value, this team will also ensure our integrations enable intelligent workflows, connecting external systems in ways that enhance automation, context-sharing, and AI-driven experiences. The team will move quickly to deliver high-impact integrations and learn from real customer workflows. From those early wins, you’ll extract patterns and evolve toward flexible frameworks and reusable building blocks that support many integration types. The goal is to balance rapid experimentation with long-term architectural leverage, so each integration makes the next one easier. You will establish and lead a team of four engineers and partner closely with Product, Design, Data, and multiple engineering teams to shape and execute a focused integrations strategy that drives measurable impact.

What you'll do:

• Lead and grow a high-performing engineering team focused on integrations and platform connectivity.
• Define and evolve a scalable integration architecture that supports multiple types of workflows and external systems.
• Build shared frameworks, APIs, and infrastructure that reduce the marginal cost of future integrations.
• Partner across engineering teams to align on ownership boundaries, shared services, and platform standards.
• Drive clarity in prioritization—partnering with product management to focus on the highest-impact integration opportunities rather than reacting to every request.
• Ensure integrations are observable, reliable, secure, and resilient to external system failures.
• Embed strong discovery and experimentation practices to validate integration opportunities before deep investment.
• Develop engineers through direct coaching, clear expectations, and regular feedback.

• Familiarity with the realities of third-party systems (rate limits, versioning, backward compatibility, partial failures).
• Experience building internal frameworks or platform capabilities that enable other teams.
• Ability to guide architecture and system design without being the primary hands-on contributor.
