Impact of a Financial Analyst This is a 14-month contract position providing essential coverage for a maternity leave. However, Upsun is a rapidly scaling organization; for a high-performer who thrives in our environment, there is a possibility of transitioning into a permanent full-time role as our finance team continues to expand to meet the needs of the business. As a Financial Analyst, you are a key driver of our financial planning and decision-making. You build and maintain financial models that guide annual budgets and long-term strategy, create comprehensive performance reports, and track KPIs to highlight opportunities for improvement. Your work strengthens business visibility, supports leadership decisions, and ensures financial discipline across the organization. What you'll do:

Build & optimize SaaS-specific financial models & forecasts; deliver actionable insights for company-wide planning.
Conduct detailed variance analyses & provide data-driven recommendations to leadership.
Partner cross-functionally to align operational plans with financial goals.
Champion budgeting & reporting best practices to improve accuracy & efficiency.
Support month-end & year-end close processes.
Streamline workflows & drive automation in FP&A platform.
Provide modeling & analytical support for M&A projects.

What you bring:

3+ years experience in Finance or Accounting or related field with ability to analyze & interpret financial data.
Strong understanding of SaaS business models & KPIs such as ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue), churn rate & CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost).
Experience with FP&A tools; comfortable optimizing financial systems/workflows.
Strong problem-solving & quantitative skills; ability to turn data into actionable insights.
Ability to explain financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
