About Ohm
Cursor and Claude Code reimagined how software products are developed. Our mission is to address the next frontier: artificial intelligence that reimagines how physical products are developed. Every complex physical product - a battery cell, an electric vehicle, a wearables device - is developed through a process that generates enormous quantities of data, almost none of which is used to its potential. This is an opportunity that AI was built to solve. Ohm is an enterprise AI platform that helps engineering teams transform how they develop, test, and validate physical products. Teams across battery, automotive, consumer electronics, and aerospace use Ohm to compress product iteration cycles, cut testing and validation costs and accelerate data analysis. We are seeking exceptional, high-agency scientists, engineers and operators to join our mission to reimagine how products are built in the next decade.
About this opportunity
Your role is to identify the product changes that will deliver the greatest measurable ROI for Ohm's customers, and then build them, ship them to production, and measure whether they moved the needle on the outcome that mattered. You will use Claude Code and AI-native tools to operate independently without a traditional product-to-engineering handoff. You bring the domain knowledge to identify what to build, the engineering capability to build it, and the commercial instinct to prioritize the changes that compound customer value fastest. In this role you will work directly alongside the CEO and Head of Engineering. Because our initial commercial focus is in the battery industry, having experience in the battery industry is a strong plus for this role.
What you will do
- Identify the product changes with the highest ROI impact for Ohm's customers - drawing on your own battery development experience, direct customer conversations, and data on where time and money are actually being lost in their workflows.
- Own those changes end-to-end: from insight through architecture, implementation, and production.
- Use AI-native development tools as force multipliers - shipping in days what would otherwise take weeks, at a quality level that holds in production in the hands of our end-users.
- Instrument every feature you ship to measure its actual impact on customer outcomes - test duration reduced, analysis time recovered, cycler capacity freed - and use that signal to decide what to build next.
- Bring deep battery domain knowledge into the product architecture itself: the data models, agent architecture and app workflows should reflect how battery development actually works, not a generic engineering software abstraction.
- Stay at the frontier of what AI makes technically possible, and bring original thinking about how new capabilities could transform the specific workflows Ohm's customers depend on.
- Maintain a sharp, current view of the competitive landscape and identify the product gaps that represent the highest-value opportunities to pull ahead.
What we are looking for
- Battery development background. You have worked inside a battery development program - as an engineer, scientist, or technical lead. You understand formation cycling, long-duration degradation testing,...
