Overview of Weave and the Founding Product Engineer role:
- Weave (YC W25) is building a platform to understand and improve how engineering teams work, using AI to provide accurate, actionable insights on productivity, impact, and collaboration.
- The company is trusted by 200+ customers including Robinhood, Rho, PostHog, and Browserbase.
- They have achieved consistent double-digit month-over-month revenue growth since May.
- Raised a $4.2M seed round backed by Moonfire, Burst Capital, and Y Combinator (W25).
- Hiring a Founding Product Engineer to define the product and technical foundation.
- Opportunity to shape how millions of engineers and leaders understand engineering work.
What Weave is building:
- Rethinking engineering output from first principles.
- Using AI to understand how engineers actually work (beyond just what they ship).
- Surfacing meaningful insights about productivity, quality, collaboration, and impact.
- Helping teams improve outcomes without vanity metrics or surveillance.
- Goal: optimize for better engineering, not just more output.
Team:
- Work directly with Andrew (CTO), a founding engineer at Causal and MIT alum.
- Work with Adam (CEO), experienced sales executive with multiple high-growth startups.
- Small, intense, highly collaborative team with real ownership from day one.

- Experience with React + TypeScript frontend, Go backend, Python for ML.
- Prior thinking about engineering productivity improvements.
- Passable design sensibilities.
Role responsibilities:
- Engage with customers to understand pain points and requests.
- Design, plan, build backend/frontend features.
- Provision infrastructure for new features.
- Release features and gather feedback.
- Quickly fix bugs with both short-term hacks and long-term solutions.
Additional details:
- Full-time onsite role at Weave HQ in San Francisco (5 days/week).
- Compensation: $150K – $200K plus 0.1% – 0.2% equity.
