Fraud Specialist, Trust & Safety

About the Role:
- Join Trust & Safety team protecting platform integrity from fraud, phishing, malware, CSAM, platform abuse, IP/DMCA infringement.
- Collaborate with Operations, Product, Finance, Engineering to strengthen and scale fraud prevention.
- Analyze fraudulent activity; refine detection systems; develop operational processes.
- Location: Offices in SF, NY, London, Berlin with in-office anchor days (Mon,Tue,Fri) if local; fully remote otherwise.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate abuse causing financial loss or reputational risk.
- Monitor and improve fraud detection and anomaly alerting systems.
- Develop/refine workflows to scale fraud prevention.
- Manage internal tooling and fraud rules performance.
- Work cross-functionally to mitigate risk.
- Represent Trust & Safety in incident response and mitigation.
Requirements:
- 3+ years in fraud/chargeback operations or related Trust & Safety field.
- Experience with user restriction systems and KPIs for operations optimization.
- Proven cross-functional collaboration delivering impactful results.
- Strong attention to detail; ability to translate investigations into scalable systems.
- Experience with abuse detection using Machine Learning/LLMs for anti-fraud enforcement.
- Ability to analyze large data sets into actionable insights.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience across multiple Trust & Safety domains (web hosting/user-generated content).
- Ability to create/interpret SQL queries.
- Experience with abuse-related ticketing/case management systems.
- Understanding of chargebacks and payments landscape.

Salary Range (San Francisco):
$128000 - $192000 base pay; adjusted by location; includes benefits/equity/bonus eligibility.
