Role Description
As a Full Stack Engineer at Dropbox, you will help design and develop seamless, scalable, and user-friendly experiences for Dropbox users. Your work will cover both front-end and back-end development, supporting products used by millions worldwide. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform ideas into reliable, scalable features providing outstanding user experiences. Dropbox is focusing on accelerating AI-enabled product creation and deployment this year.
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable software solutions across specific product areas or multi-component systems
- Write and review code, demonstrating technical leadership while mentoring junior engineers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify user needs and create impactful solutions
- Develop and execute comprehensive roadmaps balancing technical quality, business impact, and user experience
- Contribute to team culture through mentorship, interviewing, and active engagement in new initiatives
- Occasionally participate in on-call work to address bugs, outages, or operational issues to maintain stable high-quality customer experience
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering or related roles
- Experience in both front-end (JavaScript, React, Angular, HTML/CSS) and back-end (Node.js, Python) development
- BS degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent experience
- Proven success developing and deploying large-scale full-stack applications
- Proficiency in building front-end interfaces and back-end systems to deliver minimum viable products quickly
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations as needed by the team
