The Global Head of Renewals will lead the post-sales renewal engine to scale with discipline, operational rigor, and high customer experience standards. Ashby serves thousands of customers from startups to enterprises with best-in-class growth, retention, and customer trust. The role is senior and revenue-critical, responsible for building and scaling Ashby’s global renewal function.

About the Role

  • Own Ashby’s renewal engine across all customer segments.
  • Lead a centralized global team of Contract Managers.
  • Drive Net Revenue Retention (NRR) with pricing discipline, renewal forecasting, and a transparent commercial experience.
  • Partner with Customer Success, Sales, Finance, Legal, and Revenue Operations.
  • Hire and scale the team; set expectations; coach for excellence.
  • Reports directly to VP of Customer Success with executive visibility.

What You’ll Do:

Lead & Scale a High Performing Contract Management Organization:

  • Lead and scale a centralized global Contract Management team (currently 9; target 15+ by year-end).
  • Hire, coach, develop managers and contributors; evolve role definitions and career paths.
  • Refine performance metrics tied to NRR, GRR, forecast accuracy, pricing discipline.
  • Foster culture of ownership, accountability, principled decision-making.
  • Provide renewal insights for go-to-market strategy and customer lifecycle improvements.

Own Global Renewal Outcomes:

  • Own renewal outcomes across all segments including retention, seat growth, expansion at renewal; NRR is primary success metric.
  • Ensure consistent and predictable renewals aligned with long-term value.
  • Partner with Sales on expansion opportunities at renewal including pricing tier upgrades.
  • Evolve renewal tooling, workflows, forecasting rigor for accurate projections and visibility into NRR performance.
  • Build scalable cross-functional renewal processes supporting growth while maintaining quality commercial experience.

Evolve Commercial Policy & Pricing Discipline:

  • Partner with Revenue Operations, Finance, Contract Strategy, Sales on pricing guardrails, discounting frameworks, approval workflows.
  • Maintain consistency and rigor in commercial decisions with thoughtful flexibility when warranted.
  • Uphold strong pricing discipline as company scales upmarket.

Enable Enterprise Renewals:

  • Oversee complex renewals including multi-year agreements, procurement-heavy renewals, custom MSAs in partnership with Legal as needed.
  • Ensure team can lead enterprise renewal negotiations including procurement processes and executive stakeholder alignment.

You Could Be a Great Fit If You:

  • Are a post-sales revenue leader experienced in renewals/retention/NRR in scaling B2B SaaS (ideally Series D or beyond).
  • Have deep experience hiring/coaching/driving performance management; comfortable setting high bar and giving direct feedback.
  • Think in systems; enjoy building scalable commercial frameworks.
  • Excel at cross-functional partnership especially with Sales, Finance, Legal, RevOps.
  • Balance customer empathy with business rigor; believe in transparent/principled/fair commercial experiences.

This Role May Not Be a Fit If You:

  • Do not enjoy building/managing leaders and teams (hiring/performance management are key).
  • Prefer execution without owning strategy/systems/outcomes.
  • Have not led renewal or post-sales revenue motions in B2B SaaS at scale.
  • Are uncomfortable partnering closely with Sales while maintaining clear ownership boundaries.
