About the role

We’re looking for a visionary builder–leader to serve as our next Head of Engineering. This is a rare opportunity for an experienced engineering leader who still loves to code — someone excited to roll up their sleeves, ship critical systems themselves, and lay the technical foundations for something remarkable. In the near term, you’ll be deeply hands-on: architecting and writing production code, shaping our AI and software systems, and partnering closely with Product to turn strategy into shipped features. Over time, you’ll scale the team and evolve from player–coach to executive leader, owning the technical vision that powers the future of precision medicine through AI.

Who you are

We’re looking for a technical leader comfortable in codebase & boardroom:

  • Served as CTO/VP/Head or senior leader in startups or high-growth tech companies (healthtech/AI preferred).
  • Excited to be hands-on again; architect systems & ship code.
  • Built/scaled teams through 0→1 & 1→n phases.
  • Fluent in Python/Django (backend), React/Typescript (frontend), AWS (infra), Terraform (ETL).
  • Experienced building in regulated environments (HIPAA,SOC2,etc).
  • Systems thinker moving between architecture & strategy.
  • Motivated by mission to improve patient lives.

Not required but helpful:

  • Experience in AI diagnostics,... genomics or precision medicine.
  • Background in bioinformatics or health data systems.
  • Exposure to biopharma companies/labs.
