Job Description

HRBP

Full-Time

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, high-ownership HRBP to manage our people operations and align our human resources strategies with the company's fast-paced growth objectives. This role is designed for a self-starter who thrives in a startup environment, and can build and execute scalable processes. The ideal candidate will seamlessly bridge execution and strategy - spanning foundational HR domains while actively contributing to organizational development, culture-building, and cross-border alignment across India and US.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Alignment & Culture

  • Organizational Development: Support the "human factor" in the company by devising programs for performance evaluation, training, and learning & development to enhance employee growth and satisfaction.
  • Processes and Policies: This will be a great exposure to transition from an operational profile to building and streamlining foundational HR processes and policies.
  • Executive Collaboration: Participate in executive, and employee meetings to stay aligned with business objectives and implement updates effectively across the organization.
  • Market Insights: Conduct research and analysis to maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in HR and employment law.

Core Operations & Domain Execution

  • End-to-End HR Operations: Manage the complete employee lifecycle including onboarding, confirmations, role changes, and exits. Identify operational gaps and lead HR process improvements to enable scale and efficiency.
  • Talent Acquisition: Own end-to-end recruitment for assigned business functions and global regions, overseeing workforce planning, stakeholder coordination, and hiring metrics.
  • Payroll & Budgeting: Manage end-to-end payroll processing, statutory compliance, audits, and coordination with finance vendors. Assist in the development and monitoring of the departmental budget.
  • Compliance & Risk Mitigation: Ensure strict compliance with applicable labor laws and employment regulations; actively anticipate, review, and resolve litigation risks.
  • Employee Relations & Grievances: Act as the primary point of contact for employee relations, handling grievances, disciplinary actions, and sensitive people issues with firm ethical standards and absolute confidentiality.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate and manage contracts with external service providers (e.g., insurance, background verification, global payroll platforms, compliance).
  • Data & Analytics: Design and implement HR dashboards that present operational data in a meaningful, actionable framework for leadership insights.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a Human Resource Business Partner, preferably within a startup or high-growth tech environment.
  • Education: MBA / Master's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration is preferred.
  • Execution Mindset: A true self-starter who possesses a high-ownership mindset, great attention to detail, and a drive to execute directly.
  • Cross-Border Experience: Preference will be given to candidates with proven experience managing US teams or working with US-based employees and global contractors.
  • Shift Flexibility: Must be fully open to working in shifts that overlap both India and USA timezones to support our global team.
  • Domain Breadth: Strong hands-on knowledge spanning Talent Acquisition, Payroll, HR Operations, PMS, Vendor Management, and Compliance.
  • Core Competencies: Strong business acumen, exceptional stakeholder management, organizational leadership, and excellent communication skills.
