Internship - Customer Success

About the role
We help everyday people invest in the startups they love. Wefunder is the largest funding platform connecting founders with their community to become investors. Over the past few years, we've helped fund thousands of startups with over $1B+ in capital, from early-stage moonshots to wildly successful unicorns. In 2021, regulatory reform put Community Rounds on the map. Since then, we27ve helped startups like Substack, Mercury, Levels, and many others raise money from their customers and community. We built this space from the ground up. Now we're hiring a Customer Success Intern to help our investors, build useful tools with AI, and make the whole operation run better. This is a position based out of our headquarters in San Francisco, CA.
Our Dream Candidate
- You27re energized by helping people. When somebody's confused or stuck, your first instinct is to actually solve their problem, not hide behind a canned response.
- You thrive in fast-paced environments and you27re constantly teaching yourself new things.
- You27re organized, accountable, and have incredibly high standards. You sweat the small stuff when it matters. Money, taxes, legal paperwork. You double-check, then you triple-check.
- You love building better systems and want to leave your mark by making things better.
- You've never vibe-coded before? Cool. You just have to seriously want to learn. If the idea of working with an AI agent to build a tool sounds exciting (not scary), keep reading.
- You don't need hand-holding. If something's broken, you poke at it. If you don't know the answer, you go find it. If you said you'd do something, it gets done.
Responsibilities
This is a 6-month internship, July through December. Here's what you'll actually be doing:
- Talking to investors. You'll be on email threads and video calls helping real humans figure out real problems: wrong tax form, lost login,"wait,20what did I invest in again?" You'll start with the easier stuff and work your way up.
- Learning to vibe-code. We'll set you up with Cursor,20Claude Code,20and Codex on day one. You don't need to know them yet. You do need to get good at them,20fast.20We'll help.
- Fixing bugs.20When something breaks in the investor flow,20you'll dig in.20Reproduce it,20figure out what's going on,20and eventually ship fixes yourself.
- Building tools for the team.20Scripts,20Slackbots,20mini-dashboards,20whatever saves us time.20Your first one will probably be rough.20By December,20your output should be useful and impressively powerful.
- Helping out when things get a bit chaotic.20Taxes,20big raises,20and seasonal volume.20You roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty.
- Noticing patterns.20If ten investors ask you the same question,20that's a help doc waiting to happen,20or a bug,20or a product gap the team should know about.20You'll flag it and own the solution.
Skills & Experience
- You're reliable.20If you said you'd do it,20you do it.20You follow up to the very last detail.
- You thrive in ambiguity.20That should sound fun,20not stressful.
- You communicate and write like a human.20Clear,20warm,20no jargon,20no "per my last email."
- You're fired up about AI.20You don't need to have used these tools before,20but you do need to want to learn them badly enough to spend evenings poking around and getting up-to-speed.
- You're in school,20a recent graduate,20or taking a gap year.20Any major.20Customer-facing experience is highly preferred.
Compensation
- $25/hour
- This is an internship opportunity.20No benefits,20401(k), equity,20etc.
- Youll get a laptop and a seat at our San Francisco headquarters.
