Job Description This role is responsible for translating Songtradr’s global rightsholder strategy into commercial growth across labels, distributors, Merlin members, and strategic music partners globally. The position combines licensing business development, commercial execution, and strategic partnership leadership, driving adoption of Songtradr’s Music Technology & Licensing solutions through hands-on engagement, complex negotiations, and scalable partnership frameworks. Success in this role requires a commercially minded operator who can turn strategy into action, build long-term partner value, and deliver measurable business outcomes in alignment with Songtradr’s growth objectives. Main Job Duties Your role would include, but not be limited to the following: Commercial Strategy & Growth

  • Develop and execute commercial growth strategies that increase adoption of Songtradr’s Music Technology & Licensing solutions across global rightsholders.
  • Introduce and execute new commercial opportunities across labels, distributors, Merlin members, and strategic music partners.
  • Translate strategic priorities into executable licensing strategies and commercial agreements with rightsholders.
  • Lead complex commercial negotiations relating to participation models, rights access, onboarding structures, and commercial terms.
  • Develop business cases, forecasts, and growth plans that support strategic investment and partner expansion opportunities.
  • Work closely with Product, Licensing, Operations, and Commercial teams to accelerate execution and remove barriers to growth.
  • Own key commercial performance metrics, monitoring results and adapting strategies to maximize business outcomes.
  • Represent Songtradr at industry events, conferences, and strategic meetings to identify opportunities and strengthen market presence.

Strategic Partner Growth & Market Execution

  • Build and maintain senior relationships with key stakeholders across labels, distributors, Merlin members, and strategic rightsholder organizations.
  • Act as the executive commercial lead for priority partnerships, ensuring successful onboarding, activation, and long-term performance.
  • Drive the implementation of strategic partnership initiatives from concept through execution, ensuring alignment across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Own end-to-end rightsholder approval workflows across major labels, independents, distributors, Merlin members, and strategic partners.
  • Ensure approvals align with commercial agreements, licensing requirements, client needs, and operational readiness.
  • Maintain visibility across commercial agreements, partner obligations,and approval dependencies to support strategic planning and execution.
  • Ensure alignment between rightsholder agreementsand how music supply is leveraged across licensing API,and platform-based use cases.
  • Drive accountabilityand clarity across cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful partner activationand ongoing delivery.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 7+ Years of Experience: In business development commercial partnerships licensing strategic account management within the music industry.
  • Commercial Growth Expertise: Proven track record of developingand executing commercial growth strategies that deliver measurable revenueand adoption.
  • Complex Deal Negotiation: Demonstrated success sourcing negotiatingand closing complex commercial agreements with enterprise-scale partners.
  • Program Development: Experience buildingand scaling partnership programs go-to-market initiativesand commercial frameworks.
  • Music Industry Knowledge: Strong understandingof the music rights ecosystem including labels distributors publishers Merlin digital music services.
  • Strategic Execution: Commercially mindedwith ability to translate strategic objectives into practical execution plans operational outcomes.
  • Stakeholder Influence: Exceptional negotiation stakeholder management influencing skillswith senior executives decision-makers.
