Samsara is seeking a skilled and passionate Lead Full Stack AWS Developer, Business Applications to join their team. The role involves designing, building, deploying, and maintaining scalable and reliable applications and infrastructure on the AWS platform. Responsibilities include implementing AI/ML-powered solutions embedded in sales tools to support and optimize sales workflows, working closely with product managers, software engineers, and other stakeholders, and leading and mentoring junior engineers. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable and highly available applications and services on AWS.
- Utilize AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy.
- Integrate AI/ML-powered solutions in sales tools (CRM integration, lead scoring, chatbots).
- Build and consume RESTful APIs.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting with AWS CloudWatch.
- Ensure security and compliance of AWS environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Troubleshoot production and non-production issues.
- Stay updated with latest AWS services and best practices.
- Contribute to technical documentation.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science/Engineering or related field with 8+ years software development experience or Master’s with 6+ years focused on cloud technologies.
- Strong understanding of core AWS services for scalable systems.
- At least 5 years full stack software development experience.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, Node.js, Go or React.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience working with stakeholders on project roadmaps.
- Understanding of cloud security best practices.
Ideal Candidate Also Has:
- AWS Certified Developer – Associate or higher certification.
- Experience with Docker containers and orchestration (ECS/EKS).
- Experience building serverless applications (AWS Lambda/API Gateway).
- Middleware integration experience (Zapier, Workato).
- Database design/management on AWS (RDS/DynamoDB).
- Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus or Grafana.
- Experience with agile methodologies and large-scale distributed systems.
Additional Information:
- Annual base salary range: $114,537.50—$154,000 USD
- Eligible for initial RSU grant with no vesting cliff plus ongoing refresh opportunities tied to performance
