About the Role:

Slash is primarily a technology company with a top engineering team moving over $10 billion annually.
The role is for a Lead Technical Writer to communicate the engineering work effectively.
Responsibilities include creating engineering blog content, technical deep dives, launch write-ups, and social media content in engineers' voices.
The writer will work closely with engineers and founders to produce accurate and compelling technical writing.
The role requires deep technical understanding and sharp writing skills.

Own the engineering blog end to end from understanding shipped features to publishing posts.
Translate engineers' and founders' ideas into polished content without losing their voice.
Facilitate effortless idea sharing for engineers who lack time to write themselves.
Strategically post on social media to amplify important work.
Proactively identify stories worth telling by embedding with the engineering team.
Collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams for technical accuracy.

Strong technical understanding (engineering, CS background or serious technical writing experience required).
Clear writing with a point of view that respects readers' intelligence; no fluff.
Ability to write for engineers in their voice.
Independent worker who proactively finds stories without waiting for direction.
Bonus: Experience writing technical content that has been shared by engineers.
