Role Summary

Sophos is looking for a Manager, Finance System Support to lead the team that keeps our core finance systems running smoothly and continuously improving. In this role, you will manage day-to-day support for SAP and related finance applications, oversee month-end close readiness, guide access management and controls, help deliver system enhancements that improve the experience for our global finance users, contribute to broader finance initiatives and cross-functional projects where finance systems, process, data, controls, or operational expertise is required, and support the development and adoption of AI-enabled initiatives that improve finance processes, insights, automation, and user experience. This is a great opportunity for an experienced people manager who combines finance systems knowledge, strong stakeholder management, and a practical, service-focused approach to solving complex operational problems.

What You Will Do

Lead, coach, and develop the Finance System Support team,... setting priorities ensuring high quality service across finance systems landscape.
Own day to day support for key finance systems,... incidents requests recurring issues escalations managed effectively transparently.
Oversee month end close support,... system readiness critical process monitoring issue resolution timely communication risks blockers.
Manage finance system access processes,... user requests role governance periodic reviews segregation duties considerations coordination IT control owners.
Partner with finance IT internal development teams external support providers resolve complex issues identify root causes deliver sustainable fixes.
Establish consistent support practices documentation controls user guidance across core finance processes including AP Accounts Payable AR Accounts Receivable inventory fixed assets general ledger GL CRM Customer Relationship Management BI reporting.
Lead support finance systems initiatives strengthen controls improve efficiency support integrations respond evolving business compliance needs.
Oversee requirements gathering testing change readiness user communication post-implementation support enhancements new initiatives.
Coordinate quarterly release cycle finance system priorities intake prioritization testing deployment readiness communication impacts.
Ensure finance systems aligned business audit compliance control requirements balancing stability usability scalable process design.
Serve escalation point finance leaders business partners system-related questions process issues controls support priorities.

What You Will Bring

Experience working with finance accounting processes ability understand operational workflows controls accounting impacts system-related risks.
Previous people management experience required including leading coaching prioritizing work managing escalations improving team service delivery.
Experience supporting large ERP systems required SAP experience preferred experience broader finance systems landscape beneficial.
Strong understanding support processes access management change control testing documentation release management finance system controls.
Excellent communication stakeholder management skills confidence work across finance IT development teams external partners senior stakeholders.
Strong analytical problem-solving skills ability investigate complex issues identify root causes drive practical well-controlled resolutions.
