The Manager, Supply Chain leads the team responsible for supply chain activities for the Plant Infrastructure scope, including plant design, construction, operations and maintenance, and industrial gases. Responsibilities include strategic sourcing, tactical procurement, supplier management, supplier development and reliability. The role involves building and developing a team of Supplier Integration Managers embedded within project teams and accountability for meeting internal customers’ needs. This is a working manager role with hands-on involvement in sourcing strategies for SPARC, FTL, ARC, and other projects. To succeed at CFS you must be a creative problem solver able to work collaboratively on hard problems in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll do:
As a team manager:
- Train, support, develop and coach team members
- Define, assign and monitor objectives
- Manage cost, quality and delivery objectives
- Coordinate with engineering and construction leads to plan work and define priorities
- Act as escalation point for issue resolution
- Own executive-level relationships with architecture, engineering & construction partners, gas suppliers and other suppliers
- Ensure process adherence for strategic sourcing, purchase order management and supplier quality
- Report project status, risks and issues to supply chain and systems leadership teams
- Lead change management and process improvement initiatives
- Recruit new team members as headcount is approved
As an individual contributor:
- Develop and execute project procurement or commodity strategies
- Coordinate planning/scheduling with project engineering teams, contractors and suppliers
- Coordinate supplier development/reliability activities with supplier development engineers in matrixed organization
- Drive sourcing projects cross-functionally
- Negotiate short/long-term agreements for parts, subassemblies, finished goods, equipment or services
- Create/manage purchase orders
- Monitor suppliers during contract execution
- Support cost savings initiatives, lead time improvements and quality improvement projects
- Visit suppliers for business reviews or project milestone checks
- Negotiate internally/externally at all levels frequently
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, business, finance or related field
- 7+ years related experience in manufacturing/supply chain/engineering or relevant supplier-focused environment
- Experience mentoring or coaching
- Experience sourcing/overseeing construction projects including equipment/parts/services
- Ability to communicate collaboratively with engineering/construction/manufacturing/suppliers
- Ability to negotiate complex contracts
- Ability to develop sourcing strategies for projects or commodities
- Ability to earn trust & maintain positive professional relationships; strengthen culture of inclusion
- Organizational & project management skills
- Customer service mindset & entrepreneurial spirit
- Creative problem solving & critical thinking skills

Must-have Requirements:
- Perform extended activities such as stooping/climbing/typing/standing/sitting etc.
- Perform extended periods of phone or teleconference work
- Willingness to travel or work nights/weekends/on-call regularly; travel expected minimum 25%
- Work in facility containing industrial hazards: heat/cold/noise/fumes/strong magnets/lead (Pb)/high voltage/current/pressure systems/cryogenics
Salary:
$110,000 - $185,000 per year (full-time position + equity + benefits) Actual salary depends on level/location/qualifications/experience.
