Job Description
What you are going to do:
- Own day-to-day operations across finance, people, and logistics ensuring work gets done accurately and on time.
- Be the first line for operational requests and routine questions from the team and customers; route or resolve quickly; maintain simple internal reporting and systems so work is visible.
- Coordinate with partners such as accountant, payroll and benefits providers, recruiters, and event vendors.
- Support finance operations: invoicing and collections follow-through, customer/vendor forms and portals, PO tracking, month-end hygiene in partnership with accountant.
- Support people operations: onboarding/offboarding, payroll inputs/changes across US and UK, coordination of contractor payments.
- Plan and run company events and conference participation at a practical level of detail including timelines, vendors, materials, travel logistics; help foster team connection through well-run gatherings.
- Keep San Francisco (SF) and UK offices running smoothly.
What we want to see in you:
- 2 to 3 years in an operations or generalist role at a fast-moving company.
- High attention to detail; organized; proactive; clear written communication.
- Strong communicator with internal teams and external counterparts (customers, vendors, partners).
- Comfortable with spreadsheets and basic reporting; quick to learn new tools and portals.
- Able to switch contexts and manage multiple threads without losing quality.
- Based in San Francisco and able to work in person 5 days a week.
Big plus if you have the following:
- Exposure to finance operations, HR operations (including international basics), vendor management, or events.
- Experience helping run conferences or team offsites.
