As a key member of Pythian’s Business Development team, you will leverage your relationship building capabilities and work cross functionally to support, enable, grow and strengthen our partnerships at Pythian. You will build and manage relationships with Pythian’s partners and serve as a representative of the organization externally. You will be responsible for acting as a liaison between the Pythian sales team members who are individual contributors and Partner Field Sales, Partner Management and Customer Engineering and other related roles at Google, and with other key partners such as Oracle, helping to build a steady stream of potential opportunities for Pythian. You are a highly energetic, proactive, and trustworthy individual with a thoughtful approach to building relationships. You possess a demonstrated ability to strategically navigate and leverage partner organizations to identify and secure new business opportunities. You are adept at influencing through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus-building, and you approach challenges with a "can-do" attitude and a strong drive for success. What you will be doing:
Strategic Duties:
- Manage Google Cloud Business and Regional Territory Plans.
- Manage and continually improve Pythian perception, keep a pulse on Pythian’s reputation within partner circles.
- Navigate Google to ensure Pythian is perceived in the best possible way.
- Understand Pythian’s business, strategies, offering, and competitive landscape.
- Provide strategic guidance to partners on an ongoing basis, anticipate and address partner needs.
- Understand partner program requirements and contribute to ensuring Pythian achieves top partner status.
- Understand Google and other partners (as required) primary business objectives and build an alignment strategy with Pythian’s business plan.
- Source new business opportunities for Pythian and our partners.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within the partner ecosystem.
- Connect Pythian team members to their counterparts in the partner ecosystem.
- Help to develop and support other strategic partnerships (Oracle), activities and initiatives with SVP, Business Development.
- Travel as required for partner related activities and industry events.
Tactical Duties:
- Achieve & manage partner funding programs.

- Maintain regular communications through meetings/newsletters/emails...
- Collaborate with Marketing on execution of related resources/activities/initiatives...
- Source opportunities for new solutions...
- Maintain Google related sales credentials...
- Ensure records up-to-date in CRM Salesforce.com.
What we need from you:
While we understand you might not have everything on list:
- Relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/education considered.
- 5+ years experience working with technology partners/channels preferably IT/B2B setting; bonus if Google Cloud/Amazon/Microsoft/SAP/Oracle.
- Proven experience working closely with internal sales organization; successful track record uncovering new business opportunities
- Understanding growing purpose public cloud platforms
- Proficient use various tools including Salesforce & Google Workspace (G-Suite)
- Excellent organizational skills; attention detail; ability multi-task/switch gears fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal/written communication & presentation skills
- Excel at building/maintaining internal/external relationships & navigating organizations
- Ability work collaboratively or independently minimal supervision
- Hardworking; positive; energetic; creative; proactive
- Demonstrated desire continuous learning/improvement
- Ability manage influence through persuasion/negotiation/consensus building
