Job Responsibilities:

POSITION SUMMARY: The Product Engineer applies engineering principles and analytical techniques to the design and development of product concepts, components, and assemblies. The Product Engineer will be responsible for process, material, and product development supporting the development and launch of new product programs for Magna Exteriors. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Support full product development lifecycle including concept development (clay model phases), design maturation, tooling development, check fixture development, validation, launch, and post-SOP support. Provide engineering direction and support during design reviews with cross-functional teams including program management, manufacturing, design and sales. Identify and communicate product development design direction to improve operational, cost, quality, and manufacturing feasibility. Analyze design problems and develop engineering solutions using engineering and mathematical principles. Support prototype tooling development and coordinate prototype builds.
