Role Summary

Seeking a Product Manager with deep accounting knowledge and strong product instincts to build an industry-defining accounting and finance platform. The role involves shaping products that meet complex finance professional needs by bridging users, engineers, and designers.

Responsibilities

Act as subject matter expert on technical accounting topics (e.g., ASC 606 revenue recognition, intercompany transactions, consolidations, audit readiness)
Translate complex accounting workflows and compliance needs into product requirements and specifications
Define, prioritize, and execute features aligned with customer needs and business goals
Partner with engineers and designers to deliver accurate and intuitive solutions
Gather feedback from customers, internal stakeholders, and market to inform product development
Create product documentation, release notes, and training materials
Support QA and user acceptance testing for finance-related features
Collaborate with EU-based developers; requires time zone flexibility

Qualifications

2+ years experience in accounting
2+ years experience in product management role
Knowledge of accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS) and their impact on product workflows
Collaborative, detail-oriented mindset; thrives in fast-paced environments
Excellent communication skills with internal teams and external customers
Product mindset capable of turning complex requirements into elegant solutions
Experience with accounting operations in tech companies or ERP/finance software systems is a plus
CPA certification is a plus
Experience at a top 10 accounting firm is a plus

Candidates should be within commutable distance of NYC or San Francisco offices or willing to relocate.
