Job Description
  • Quindar builds modern, cloud-native satellite mission operations software aimed at operating satellites like servers, replacing legacy ground systems with an integrated, automation-driven platform.
  • The company is a small, fast-moving team with aerospace and software expertise focused on advancing space operations.
  • The Product Manager will lead the evolution of Quindar’s Event Management and Intelligence capabilities, emphasizing AI/ML application in mission operations.
  • Responsibilities include managing how mission events are captured, contextualized, surfaced, and acted upon to provide actionable insights that reduce noise, improve response times, and enable autonomous operations.
  • The role involves owning product lifecycle stages from discovery to launch and iteration, collaborating with engineering, design, and customer teams.
  • Customers operate large satellite constellations with unique workflows; the Product Manager ensures operators receive timely, contextual signals for decision-making.
  • Key responsibilities:
  • Define strategy and roadmap for event management including real-time event processing, alerting, anomaly detection, AI-driven features.
  • Collaborate on feature delivery such as event ingestion, filtering, alerting, visualization.
  • Conduct user research to understand operator needs and translate them into product capabilities.
  • Improve event prioritization and correlation to reduce alert fatigue and enhance root-cause analysis.
  • Ensure AI features are transparent and interpretable to build user trust.
  • Define metrics (signal-to-noise ratio, alert latency, detection accuracy) for continuous improvement.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on event-driven systems and AI in space operations.
  • Align cross-functional teams on priorities and tradeoffs.
  • Unique aspects:
  • Defining AI application in high-stakes operational environments.
  • Working on critical signal vs. noise problems.
  • Helping transition customers from manual monitoring to autonomous operations.
  • Qualifications:
  • 3+ years product management experience in SaaS, AI/ML products or aerospace/space operations.
  • Active U.S. Security Clearance required (Secret or higher; TS/SCI preferred).
  • Experience with event-driven systems or AI/ML features like anomaly detection or recommendations.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills; bachelor’s degree in engineering/computer science or equivalent experience.
  • ITAR compliance requires applicants to be U.S. citizens or eligible under specific immigration statuses.
