About the Role

Founding product leader for Ello's Nairobi hub.
Responsible for understanding local market dynamics and translating insights into product decisions.
Work closely with teams in Nairobi and San Francisco.
Own meaningful parts of the product experience end-to-end.
Help build a world-class product team in Kenya.
Highly autonomous role focused on AI-forward product building.

Key Requirements

3–5 years experience in product management or related roles (engineering, design, UX research).
Proven track record of shipping high-quality products from concept to launch.
Hands-on experience with AI-native prototyping tools (Claude, Bolt, Replit, etc).
Strong design sense and user insight skills.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable working with technical teams and understanding system tradeoffs.
Ability to bridge Nairobi user context with global standards.
Excellent communication skills and ownership mindset.

Nice to Have

Software engineering or equivalent technical experience.
Experience with data analytics tools (A/B testing, visualization, queries).
Experience in consumer products for kids/families or education market.
Familiarity with game design mechanics and motivation frameworks.
Experience conducting UX research or play testing.
