About the Role:

Product Manager at Heron Data to build automated document workflows in financial services. Own a product vertical end-to-end from customer discovery to shipping features that save customers hours of manual work daily.

The Opportunity:

• Thousands of small businesses apply for funding daily with manual document review by underwriters.
• Heron automates this process by reading emails, classifying documents, extracting/enriching data, running evaluation rules, and pushing decision-ready output into CRMs in minutes.
• Used by 150+ funders, brokers, fintechs, and insurers.

Responsibilities:

• Own a product vertical end-to-end: discovery, specs, backlog prioritization, shipping improvements.
• Be the voice of the customer: build relationships, run feedback sessions, translate pain points into product opportunities.
• Ship and iterate quickly: focus on outcomes and metrics.
• Set product strategy based on customer data, competitive insight, business impact.
• Collaborate across engineering, deployment, sales, customer success.

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years in product management at B2B SaaS or 2-3 years commercial generalist before tech/product transition.
• Experience shipping software products with measurable outcomes.
• Comfortable discussing APIs, data pipelines, system architecture.
• Structured thinker able to break ambiguous problems into actionable decisions.
• Strong customer instincts; prefers customer interaction over planning meetings.
