Product Security Engineer, Native

Location: Menlo Park, CA Team: Technical Security

Responsibilities

Perform manual design and implementation security reviews of products and services in the Meta ecosystem (e.g., Instagram, WhatsApp, Oculus, Portal).
Provide guidance and education to developers to help prevent vulnerabilities.
Build automation tools (static and dynamic analysis) and secure frameworks with software engineers to scale security across Meta products.

Minimum Qualifications

BS or MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
8+ years of experience finding vulnerabilities in interpreted languages.
Knowledge of best practice secure code development.
Experience exploiting common security vulnerabilities.
Knowledge of common exploit mitigations and their workings.
Coding and scripting experience in one or more general-purpose languages.

Preferred Qualifications

8+ years of experience finding security vulnerabilities and knowledge of secure code development in C, C++.
Contributions to the security community (public research, blogging, presentations, bug bounty).
Experience creating software that enables security processes.

Salary & Benefits

Salary Range: $184,000/year to $257,000/year
Additional compensation: bonus + equity + benefits
Individual compensation depends on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
