Production Technician - Weekend - First Shift
Devens, MA Corporate Operations – Operations - Manufacturing / Full-time / On-site Hours: 6:00 am - 6:00 pm Work Saturday, Sunday, Monday Rate of pay: $30 - $41 per hour + 15% differential About Commonwealth Fusion Systems:

Role Summary:
- Integral part of the team performing and monitoring manufacturing processes for superconducting magnets.
- Work in a fast-paced environment to support clean energy goals.
- Ensure functional operation and preventative maintenance of equipment.
- Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and other departments.
- Requires 6+ years experience in electro mechanical assembly.
Responsibilities:
- Build electromechanical parts and assemblies.
- Develop and qualify new manufacturing techniques/processes with a team.
- Perform production builds per procedures/specifications/test instructions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing discrepancies focusing on continuous improvement.
- Use mechanical and precision tools (torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, etc.).
- Read and interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, work instructions.
- Communicate challenges and ideas effectively to peers and leadership.
- Operate production, testing, and high-powered magnet equipment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
- Identify product problems and recommend process improvements.
- Maintain attention to detail and understanding of quality product standards.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- High school diploma/equivalency or higher.
- Minimum 6 years experience with hand tools and mechanical or electrical assembly.
Bonus Skills (Preferred):
- Experience with winding equipment, PLCs, material processing.
- Experience working with cryogenic chemicals (LN2, Helium).
- Basic power tools, electrical schematics/wiring knowledge.
- Epoxy potting/injection molding experience; plumbing; vacuum systems; soldering; harness builds/wiring.
- Commitment to safety and quality; ability to work independently; excellent communication/teamwork skills; meticulous attention to detail; ability to complete projects from start to finish including testing; professional representation of company.
Physical & Other Requirements:
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stoop, type, stand or sit for extended periods.
- Dedication to safety regarding industrial hazards (heat, cold, noise, fumes, magnets, lead,
high voltage, cryogenics).
- Willingness to travel or work nights/weekends/on-call occasionally.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary range $30 - $41/hour plus equity and benefits (actual salary depends on level/location/experience).
