The Role
Position: Quality Assurance Manager, Customization Location: Santa Fe Springs, CA (fully on-site) Schedule: Monday through Friday during regular business hours Additional: May involve transportation to Los Angeles Warehouse and other decorators as needed.
Role Summary
The Quality Assurance Manager will be the on-the-ground quality champion at the decoration facility. Responsibilities include inspecting inbound inventory, auditing production quality, raising issues in real time, building QA processes to meet targets of 99% On-Time Delivery and 99% Quality Acceptance. Acts as the critical link between production floor and remote project managers.
Responsibilities
- Own quality outcomes targeting 99% on-time delivery and 99% quality acceptance across all production runs.
- Monitor inspection of inbound inventory: verify quantities, condition, specs against purchase orders; drive timely replacements; identify root causes at warehouse level; implement SOPs cross-functionally.
- Conduct production quality checks during decoration processes (embroidery, screen-printing, heat transfer, embossing).
- Raise issues quickly with documentation (photos, data, root cause notes); drive swift resolution with decorators; push third parties for rapid changes.
- Provide structured/ad hoc updates to remote project managers on production status, quality metrics, open issues, risk flags; collaborate on incorporating updates into Production Management System.
- Build and implement QA processes/SOPs from scratch covering incoming goods inspection to final audits for scalable quality system.
- Track/analyze KPIs related to quality and delivery; identify trends/issues/opportunities; present findings internally.
- Influence/partner with third-party decorators to adopt Quince quality standards and process improvements; build trust for lasting changes.
- Identify root causes of failures/discrepancies/delays; collaborate cross-functionally to resolve/prevent recurrence.
- Support onboarding new product lines or decoration techniques by developing checkpoints/training criteria.
