The role At Eight Sleep, we believe our people and culture are our secret sauce. In order to continue growing our world-class team, we’re looking for a Recruiter who will lead the charge in identifying, evaluating, and hiring high-quality candidates across a diverse range of disciplines within the company. You will collaborate with hiring managers to understand hiring needs, develop tailored recruitment strategies, and create a seamless, positive candidate experience. Your work will directly impact the quality of talent we bring on board and help accelerate the development of our product. This individual should think of hiring like a product, optimizing for a top-notch “customer” experience that sources, attracts, and develops the best talent across the globe while also optimizing internal processes by implementing the latest AI-powered tools and systems. This role is a perfect fit for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to make a significant impact by helping build a diverse, high-performing team. Candidates must be based out of NYC or SF and able to be in office 5 days/week. How you’ll contribute
- Partner with hiring managers to understand team needs and skill requirements
- Develop and execute tailored sourcing strategies to attract high-quality candidates
- Manage full-cycle recruiting process including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviews, offer negotiations, and onboarding
- Utilize a variety of sourcing tools (LinkedIn, GitHub, Stack Overflow, niche job boards) to find top talent
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future hiring needs
- Conduct in-depth screenings (phone screens and in-person/virtual interviews) to assess candidates’ skills and cultural fit
- Provide an exceptional candidate experience by guiding them through the process with regular communication
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding processes for new hires
- Manage recruitment metrics; analyze data; continuously improve processes for efficiency & candidate quality
- Stay up-to-date with latest trends & best practices in recruiting & tech industry
What you need to succeed
- 2+ years experience in consulting, business operations, people operations,recruiting or talent
- Background recruiting for startup environments or high-growth companies
- Proven ability recruiting for various roles
- Familiarity with sourcing techniques including Boolean search/social media recruiting/networking
- Experience with candidate assessment tools & Applicant Tracking Systems
- Experience managing full recruitment cycle from job requisition through offer negotiation & closing
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport with candidates & hiring managers
- Passionate about tech & startup culture; drive to help build great teams
- Self-starter experienced taking projects from 0-1 with little oversight; able to articulate why/how in fast-paced environment
- Data mindset; hard-working; high-intensity
- Strong organizational skills & attention to detail
- Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills; ability to synthesize complex info/data for decision making
