About the Role

This role sits within Happl’s Go-To-Market (GTM) team working closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Leadership to drive our next phase of growth. As a Business Development Representative, you’ll be the first point of connection between Happl and future customers. You’ll identify and engage forward-thinking companies, open meaningful conversations with HR and Finance leaders, and build the pipeline that powers our expansion. You’re not just generating leads; you’re creating opportunities, building relationships, and helping organisations discover a better way to support their people. Your work will directly shape Happl’s growth and play a key role in scaling a new category of employee benefits infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Own the top of Happl’s sales funnel; create high-quality pipeline that fuels our growth
  • Identify and engage ambitious companies ready to modernise their employee benefits
  • Open conversations with HR, Finance, executive leaders at high-growth/enterprise organisations
  • Build strategic target account lists; execute thoughtful outreach campaigns
  • Create opportunities via calls, email, LinkedIn, events, outbound campaigns
  • Partner closely with Account Executives to convert opportunities into customers
  • Become an expert in Happl’s product, market & customer pain points
  • Use modern GTM tools, data & AI to maximize impact
  • Feed insights back to product & leadership to shape GTM strategy & positioning

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in BDR/SDR/sales/customer-facing role (SaaS/startup a plus)
  • Highly motivated & ambitious; excited to build something early-stage
  • Confident communicator with senior stakeholders (HR/Finance/leadership)
  • Curious & coachable; eager to learn about sales/startups/employee benefits space
  • Organized with strong attention to detail & follow-through
  • Comfortable using CRM/LinkedIn/email/AI tools like ChatGPT
  • Self-starter mentality with ownership/accountability
  • Ambition to progress into Account Executive or senior commercial roles as you grow
