The Role
Sales Development Representative responsible for translating Wikimedia Enterprise's value proposition into a qualified sales pipeline. First point of contact for enterprise prospects including technology companies and AI labs. Role is outbound-heavy requiring understanding of technical data products and API offerings. Collaboration with Account Executives and Product teams is essential.
What You'll Do
Outbound Prospecting & Pipeline Generation
- Own outbound prospecting for defined verticals.
- Build and execute multi-touch sequences via email, phone, LinkedIn and video.
- Research and prioritize target accounts; identify stakeholders.
- Develop tailored outreach messaging connecting prospect use cases to platform.
- Achieve pipeline generation targets (qualified meetings booked and opportunities created).
Discovery & Qualification
- Conduct initial discovery calls to understand prospect needs.
- Qualify opportunities using MEDDIC framework.
- Collaborate with Solutions Engineers for technical discussions.
HubSpot & Sales Operations
- Advanced HubSpot user/admin; manage sequences, workflows, reports.
- Use engagement signals to prioritize follow-up.
- Iterate on sequences/templates using A/B testing and metrics.
- Produce weekly activity reports analyzing pipeline progress.
Collaboration & Market Intelligence
- Work closely with Account Executives, Product and Marketing teams.
- Provide competitive intelligence and prospect feedback.
- Stay current on enterprise data landscape including AI/ML training data and knowledge graphs.
What You Bring
Required
- 2 to 4 years in B2B SDR/BDR/inside sales selling SaaS/data products/APIs/developer platforms to enterprise accounts.
- Proven track record meeting/exceeding outbound pipeline targets in metrics-driven environment.
- Advanced HubSpot proficiency (sequences, workflows, reports).
- Ability to engage technical (engineering/data science) and business (product/legal/procurement) stakeholders effectively.
- Strong written communication skills for personalized cold emails.
- Alignment with Wikimedia's open knowledge mission.
Nice to Have
- Experience at nonprofit or mission-driven/open-source organizations.
- Proficiency with sales tools like Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach, Gong.
- Familiarity with MEDDIC, SPIN or other enterprise qualification methodologies.
