We are seeking a high-caliber Senior Back-end Engineer to join our partner’s Middleware team. In this role, you will be the backbone of a solutions-oriented brand that is disrupting the apparel industry through game-changing products and culturally driven creative. The partner's middleware architecture is the engine behind the experience, handling complex request/response cycles, optimizing high-speed data retrieval from Redis, and managing critical vendor interactions. This team is mission-critical for performance, ensuring stability and speed during high-traffic global launches. This is the ideal role for a self-motivated, "generalist" developer who thrives on solving backend logic puzzles, optimizing performance, and building resilient systems that serve millions of users.

Most Important

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on backend architecture and distributed systems.
• You possess high-level skills, including the ability to write complex, proper typings and clean, maintainable code.
• Strong familiarity with AWS, specifically building and deploying AWS Lambdas.
• Proven experience with Redis for data retrieval and caching strategies.
• A disciplined approach to development, including writing robust Unit Tests and strictly adhering to linting rules.
• A proactive "problem-solver" who is willing to adapt, pick up new technologies, and own features from discovery to deployment.
• Ability to overlap core business hours with PST/PDT USA (Pacific Standard Time).

Nice to Have

• E-commerce & CMS: Experience with Shopify or Sanity CMS is a major plus.
• Database Evolution: Experience with Relational Databases (SQL) as our partner moves toward incorporating them for advanced pagination.
• AWS Certified: Professional or Associate level certifications.
• Scale-up Experience: Familiarity with high-growth environments where performance during peak traffic is paramount.
