About the Role
Bot MD is a Y Combinator–funded startup with the mission of empowering doctors around the world. We believe that simplifying care workflows is essential to improving patient care, especially in large and underserved markets. We build products that delight clinical users by combining cutting‑edge AI with popular chat platforms like WhatsApp, Viber, and Facebook Messenger to help hospitals and clinics automate patient workflows and streamline operations. We're looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to join our team in the Philippines. This person will play a key role in driving Bot MD's growth by acquiring and expanding relationships with hospitals, clinics, and pharmaceutical companies. The ideal candidate has proven sales experience in the healthcare industry, strong local networks, and the grit to sell innovative solutions in a rapidly evolving market. You'll have the chance to expand our significant footprint in the Philippines.
Why this role matters
As a key member of the Sales Team, you'll be the face of Bot MD to hospitals, clinics, and pharma, shaping how we grow in one of our most important markets. You'll play a central role in building our presence in this market: listening closely to healthcare leaders, shaping how our solutions meet local needs, and ensuring every deal contributes to better outcomes for doctors and patients. As we scale, this role offers the opportunity to step into broader leadership, including potential Country Lead responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, owning the full cycle from prospecting and pitching through contracting, negotiations, and closing against ambitious targets. Expand our market share through group-level agreements
- Actively hunt for new opportunities through outbound hustle while also qualifying and converting inbound leads
- Serve as a thought partner to healthcare leaders, helping them reimagine workflows and transform patient care through AI and automation
- Partner with product and delivery teams to share market insights and refine product–market fit, ensuring smooth handovers post-contract
- Represent Bot MD at industry events and forums, building visibility and positioning us as a trusted voice in digital health
Requirements
- 5+ years of proven sales experience with deep familiarity selling into Philippines healthcare (hospitals, clinics, or pharma), ideally in enterprise or complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders
- Existing senior-level network with decision makers (CEOs, CMOs, Medical Directors, Heads of IT, Procurement) in healthcare and can open doors from day one
- Demonstrated ability to own and exceed annual revenue/ARR targets and close enterprise-level deals
- Track record of building and expanding on existing relationships to drive revenue outcomes
- Entrepreneurial, resilient, and comfortable selling innovative solutions in an evolving market and building processes from scratch
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability startup environment
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, and fluency in Tagalog and English
