About the Role:

  • Lead Envato’s CRM and lifecycle marketing strategy focusing on email marketing performance and customer engagement.
  • Own end-to-end CRM content strategy including segmentation, campaign planning, execution, and optimisation.
  • Develop and empower a team of CRM specialists.
  • Partner cross-functionally to deliver personalised customer experiences.
  • Shape lifecycle initiatives supporting marketing and growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and develop CRM team.
  • Manage email marketing calendar aligned with brand/product/business priorities.
  • Define and execute data-driven CRM/lifecycle strategies for acquisition, activation, retention.
  • Design/optimise customer segmentation for targeted communications.
  • Oversee CRM campaign strategy, execution, optimisation across customer lifecycle.
  • Improve CRM processes for efficiency and scalability.
  • Champion AI, automation, emerging tech for personalisation and operational effectiveness.
  • Use Iterable and other CRM tech to build scalable automated lifecycle programs.
  • Analyse campaign performance/customer data for insights and improvements.
  • Collaborate with Research, Brand, Marketing, Product, Tech, Customer Success teams.
  • Ensure best practices in email marketing (deliverability, compliance, testing).
  • Contribute to broader marketing strategy as senior Marketing division member.

Candidate Requirements: Essential:

  • 8+ years experience in CRM/lifecycle marketing with strong email marketing focus.
  • Experience leading high-performing teams with attention to detail.
  • Deep knowledge of email marketing best practices (segmentation, automation).
  • Hands-on experience with Iterable or similar platforms; strong technical aptitude in CRM systems.
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to translate data into insights.
  • Excellent copywriting/editing skills for customer-focused messaging.
  • Strong stakeholder management across Marketing/Product/Customer Success.
  • Experience leveraging AI/automation for CRM performance/personalisation improvements.
  • Ability to optimise processes for innovation/continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of data privacy/compliance regulations (SPAM Act, GDPR).

Desirable:

  • Experience in global/digital/subscription businesses.
  • Familiarity with customer research methodologies applied to lifecycle strategy.
  • Knowledge of CDPs including data unification/audience segmentation.
  • Experience contributing to senior-level marketing strategy/planning.
